Gomati is a district in Tripura, India. This district was formed in January 2012, when four new districts were established in Tripura, increasing the number of districts in the state to eight. Udaipur serves as its headquarters.

The district is well-known for its Mata Tripura Sundari Temple, which is located around 3 kilometers from Udaipur in Matabari. The temple is one of 51 Mahapithasthans in India. The Gomati is prominent in Tripura’s indigenous mythology, culture, religious ceremonies, and rituals, to the point where Tripuri people perform posthumous rites.
