Melaghar is a tiny town in the Indian state of Tripura, with a Municipal Council in the Sipahijala district. It is about 50 kilometers (30 miles) from the capital, Agartala. It is adjacent to Sonamura and 10 kilometers (6 miles) from Bangladesh’s international border. Neermahal is a popular tourist destination in the town, located in the center of Rudrasagar Lake.
