In the Indian state of Uttarakhand, in the Haridwar district, sits the town of Manglaur, which has a municipal board. Manglaur’s pin code is 247656. Manglaur is situated on the Delhi–Haridwar National Highway (H-58). It is roughly 10 kilometers from Roorkee and 175 miles from Delhi.

There is still a temple there that was formerly a tehsil during the British era. Additionally, Kachhari worked in a middle school building close to Gurukul. There formerly was a Qila, the walls of which can still be seen on Mandir Road, which is now a residential neighborhood.
