Malaysia has a state called Kelantan. Kubang Kerian’s royal residence is located in the capital city of Kota Bharu. Darul Naim (Jawi: دار النعيم‎; “The Blissful Abode”) is the state’s honorific name. The only state outside of East Malaysia that does not refer to its second-level administrative division as a district is Kelantan. Rather, the divisions are referred to as collectivities with a single autonomous subdistrict or colonies (Jajahan).
