Colorado is a landlocked state in the Western United States’ Mountain West subregion. At the Four Corners, Colorado meets Arizona to the southwest and borders Wyoming to the north, Nebraska to the northeast, Kansas to the east, Oklahoma to the southeast, New Mexico to the south, and Utah to the west. Mountains, woods, high plains, mesas, canyons, plateaus, rivers, and desert areas make up Colorado’s terrain, which is well-known. Colorado, one of the Mountain States, is frequently regarded as a component of the American Southwest. One could argue that Colorado’s high plains belong in the country’s midwest. It includes the Southern Rocky Mountains in its entirety.
