Zimbabwe, also known as the Republic of Zimbabwe, is a landlocked nation in Southern Africa that is bounded to the south by Mozambique, to the east by Zambia, to the north by Botswana, and to the south by the Zambezi and Limpopo Rivers. Bulawayo is the second-largest city after Harare, which is the capital.

Based on the 2022 census, Zimbabwe’s population was estimated to be over 15 million. The Shona ethnic group, comprising 80% of the country’s total population, are the largest ethnic group, followed by the Northern Ndebele and other smaller minorities. There are sixteen official languages in Zimbabwe, the most widely used being English, Shona, and Ndebele. Zimbabwe is a party to the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa, the African Union, the United Nations, and the Southern African Development Community.
