The capital of Argentina’s La Pampa Province is Santa Rosa, a city in the Pampas (lowlands). It is located at the junction of National Routes 5 and 35 in the province’s east, on the edge of the Don Tomás Lagoon. Around 94,340 people live in the city and its environs (101,610 according to the 2001 Census [INDEC]); the province’s capital, Toay, is home to 124,101 people (Census-ar 2.010).
