The northernmost province in Belgium and the Flemish Region, also known as Flanders, is Antwerp Province. It shares boundaries with the Belgian provinces of Limburg, Flemish Brabant, and East Flanders to the north, as well as the Dutch province of North Brabant. The city of Antwerp serves as its capital and is home to the second-largest seaport in Europe, the Port of Antwerp. It is the most populous province in the nation, with approximately 1.92 million people living in its 2,876 km2 (1,110 sq mi) of land as of January 2024. Three arrondissements make up the province: Turnhout, Mechelen, and Antwerp. The majority of the Campine region is located in the province’s eastern section.
