Cuba is situated north of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, west of Hispaniola (Haiti/Dominican Republic), south of Florida and the Bahamas, and east of the Yucatán Peninsula (Mexico). The capital and largest city is Havana. With roughly 10 million people, Cuba is the third most populated nation in the Caribbean, behind Haiti and the Dominican Republic. In terms of area, it is the largest nation in the Caribbean.
