Kwan O Tseung Located mostly on reclaimed ground on the northern half of Junk Bay in the southeast of the New Territories, New Town—also referred to as Tseung Kwan O—is one of the nine new towns in Hong Kong.

The new town’s development was authorized in 1982, and its first residents arrived in 1988. In 2016, there were about 396,000 people living in the town.
