Aberdeen is a region in Hong Kong located on the southwest side of the island. It is a component of the Southern District administratively. Although “Aberdeen” could be interpreted broadly to include Wah Kwai Estate, Wah Fu Estate, Tin Wan, Wong Chuk Hang, Ap Lei Chau, and Aberdeen (town), it is more common to refer to the town alone. The 2011 population census indicates that there are about 80,000 people living in the Aberdeen area.

Aberdeen’s floating hamlet and its floating seafood eateries in Aberdeen Harbour have made it famous among Hong Kong residents as well as tourists.
