In Hong Kong’s northwest New Territories lies a brand-new town called Yuen Long New Town. Beginning in the late 1970s, Yuen Long Town, a typical market town, was transformed into this new community.

The town’s central location in Yuen Long Plain makes it the ideal place for neighboring communities to sell their fish and crops. Ping Shan lies to the west; Nam Sang Wai is to the north; Shap Pat Heung, to the south, is Kam Tin.
