In the Indian state of Sikkim, in the Mangan district, is the town of Chungthang. The district center, Mangan town, is only 28 kilometers away. Location: It is located where the Lachung and Lachen rivers meet to form the Teesta River. Chungthang is home to an important advance post and medical center for the Indian Army, situated 95 kilometers (59 miles) from Gangtok, the state capital.
