Rajamahendravaram, often known as Rajahmundry, is a district in East Godavari. It is the state’s eighth most populous city.In the Madras Presidency, the district of Rajahmundry was established in 1823 during British control. After being reorganized in 1859, it split into the districts of Krishna and Godavari. The Godavari district’s headquarters were in Rajahmundry. In 1925, the district was further divided into the East Godavari and West Godavari districts.It is managed by the East Godavari district’s Rajahmundry Revenue Division.The city is well-known for its heritage, tourism, agriculture, history, culture, and floriculture.It is referred to as the “Andhra Pradesh Cultural Capital.
