One of the 25 administrative districts of the northeastern Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh is Lower Subansiri district.
Past Events
When the Subansiri district split into the Upper and Lower Subansiri districts in 1987, the new district was created.[2] The Chutiya Kingdom has a long connection with the Lower Subansiri area. It was most likely ruled for a very long period by Chutiya chieftains before coming under Birpal’s control in the twelfth century. Kurung Kumey district was created on April 1, 2001, following the division of the Papum Pare district in 1999 to create a new district.
The state government gave its approval in October 2017 for the division of the Lower Subansiri district into the districts of Raga, Dolungmukh, and Kumpurijio to form Kamle.[3] By 2024, the
