In the Indian state of Assam, the town and municipal board of Hojai are located in the Hojai district. It is situated on the banks of the Kapili and Jamuna tributaries of Brahmaputra.
Meaning and Origin
In addition to being one clan of the Dimasa people that lived in the town when it first began to take shape, the term Hojai[3] signifies Priest in the Dimasa language.
