Adapur is a block in Bihar, India’s East Champaran district. The district headquarters, Motihari, lies 40 kilometers (25 mi) north of the Adapur railway station. Southward by 175 kilometers (109 miles) is the state capital, Patna. Adapur lies near the border between India and Nepal. Many peasants live close to Adapur town, where they go to get their daily necessities.
