Asarganj is an urban area in the Indian state of Bihar’s Munger district.

Geographical

The coordinates of Asarganj are 25.15°N 86.68°E.[1] It is 44 meters (144 feet) above sea level on average.

August through September is Saawan month, when the month-long festival “Bol-Bum” takes place. After drawing water from Sultanganj’s Ganges river, often referred to as Uttar Wahini Ganga in the area, pilgrims walk 105 miles in bare feet to Deoghar, where they pour Gangajal on Lord Shiva.
