Chainpur is a town in the Kaimur district of Bihar, India, along with a matching community development block. It is situated 11 kilometers to the west of Bhabua, the Kaimur district seat.1,653 houses in the village had 11,306 residents as of 2011. There were 30,189 homes and 187,692 people living in the block.[2] Prior to that, the primary settlement of Chainpur was also known as Malikpur, after zamindar Malik Khan, a Bhabua family descendent. Early in the 1600s, Chainpur was founded. The capital of the Chainpur Estate was Chainpur.
