Danapur is an Indian satellite town and one of the six Tehsils (subdivisions) in the state of Bihar’s Patna district. 182,241 people were counted in the 2011 India Census. Danapur serves as both a refuge and a hatchery for the Siberian cranes that migrate, known locally as Janhgil.
