Kasba is a Purnia district satellite town located in the Seemanchal region of Bihar, India. It is a component of the Purnia Urban Agglomeration.

There were 25,522 people living in Kasba as of the 2001 India census [1]. 53% of the population is male, and 47% is female. While male literacy is 57% and female literacy is 41%, Kasba’s average literacy rate is 49%, which is lower than the 59.5% national average. Eighteen percent of Kasba’s population is younger than six.
