One of the thirty-eight districts that make up the Indian state of Bihar is the Alanda District. This district’s administrative center is located in Bihar Sharif. The historic Nalanda Mahavihara, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is located in this area. Southern Bihar’s Magadh area is home to Nalanda.[2]
History On November 9, 1972, Nalanda broke away from Patna to become a separate district.
