One of the district’s emerging settlements, Nawanagar is a hamlet and related community development block located in the Buxar district of Bihar, India [4][5]. It is one of several small villages under the Nawanagar panchayat’s control and management. Among the neighboring villages, this one possesses the only chauki (police station). One of the seven blocks that comprise the Dumraon sub-division is Nawangar.

In 2011, there were 8,521 people living in 1,429 houses in Nawanagar, and 166,534 people living in 25,557 households in the block as a whole.
