One of Bihar’s thirty-eight districts is Saharsa in India. The administrative center of this district is located in Saharsa City. The district of Saharsa, which is a part of the Kosi Division, was established on April 1, 1954, and has since seen other districts created out of it, most notably Madhepura in 1981.

Saharsa is found in the Mithila region, which was one of India’s first hubs for Brahminical civilization. The entire Mithila region is thought to have its heart in Saharsa. Legends like Mandana Misra, Laxminath Gosain, Ubhai Bharti, and others originated there. Mahisi and Bangaon are renowned for producing a sizable population of civil personnel.
