One of Bihar’s thirty-eight districts is Samastipur in India. The district office is situated at Samastipur. The district is home to 4,261,566 people and has a land area of 2904 km²

As of 2022, Samastipur is Bihar’s largest milk production district.[4]

History: In 1972, Samastipur separated from Darbhanga district to become its own district.[5]

Samastipur is divided into four smaller divisions:
