Bhilai is a city in the eastern central Indian state of Chhattisgarh, located in the Durg district. With a population of over a million, the urban agglomeration of Durg-Bhilai Nagar, along with its twin-city Durg, is the second-largest urban region in Chhattisgarh, behind Raipur. Bhilai Municipal Corporation, Bhilai Charoda Municipal Corporation, and Risali Municipal Corporation are the three municipal corporations located in the Bhilai metropolis.

Central India’s main center for education and industry is Bhilai. The Bhilai Steel Plant, Jaypee Cement, Orient Cement, NSPCL Bhilai Power Plant, Steel Authority of India, FSNL, and ACC Cement are among the many industries based in the city.
