With its main office located in Saket, South Delhi is an administrative district of Delhi, India’s National Capital Territory. The district is split administratively into three subdivisions: Mehrauli, Hauz Khas, and Saket.[2] The Yamuna River forms its eastern boundary, followed by the districts of New Delhi to the north, Gurgaon, Haryana, to the southwest, Faridabad District to the southeast, and South West Delhi to the west.

With 2,731,929 people living there as of the 2011 census, South Delhi covers 250 square kilometers (97 square miles) and has a population density of 9,034 people per km2 (23,397 people per mi2).
