An object presented to someone without the expectation of money or anything in return is called a gift or present. If the recipient already owns the item, it is not considered a gift. Giving gifts is supposed to be selfless, even when there may be a chance that they will be returned. Exchange of products, money, and other items between people can support social relationships and promote social cohesiveness in many nations. The concept of a gift economy is derived from the economics of gift-giving by economists. By extension, any object or deed of compassion or forgiveness that lifts someone else’s spirits, especially when done as a favor, can be referred to as a gift. Presents are given out on special occasions. Like Birthday, wedding anniversary Christmas Diwali Eid, Mother’s Day Father’s day Valentine week etc.
