In the Indian state of Goa, the town of Pernem has a municipal council and is located in the North Goa district. It serves as the Pernem Sub-District’s capital.

Geographical

Goa’s Pernem Sub-District is part of the Pernem Municipal Area.
One of Goa’s twelve subdistricts is Pernem. It is bordered to the north by the Sindhudurga sub-districts of Vengurla and Sawantwadi, to the east by the Dodamarg sub-district, to the south by the Bardez and Bicholim, and to the west by the Arabian Sea. It is made up of twenty village panchayats and one municipality, Pernem city.
