Located on the Saurashtra peninsula in southeast Gujarat, India, is the district known as Bhavnagar District. The town of Bhavnagar serves as the administrative center.

Geographical

Over 8334 km2 are covered by the Shri Khodiyar Mandir’s Main Gate in the Bhavanagar District. Most of the land along the ocean is alluvium.

Bhavnagar shares boundaries with Amreli District to the west, the Gulf of Cambay to the east and south, Botad District to the northwest, and Ahmedabad District to the northeast.
