Gujarat is an Indian state that includes the Morbi district. On August 15, 2013, the 67th Independence Day of India, it was constituted together with numerous other districts. The district’s administrative center is located at Morbi City. Five talukas comprise the district: Morbi, Maliya, Tankara, Wankaner (which was formerly part of Rajkot district), and Halvad (which was formerly part of Surendranagar district). The administrative center of the Morbi district is located at Morbi city. Located on the Machchhu River, 35 kilometers from the coast and 60 km from Rajkot, is the town of Morbi. The city had 2,10,451 residents and an average literacy rate of 83.64% in 2011 census data.

Kutch district to the north, Rajkot district to the south, Surendranagar district to the east, and Jamnagar district to the east encircle this district.
