One of the 22 districts in the northern Indian state of Haryana is Jindo district. The district’s administrative center is located at Jind town. It was established in 1966 and is a component of the Hisar Division.

Meaning and Origin
The town of Jind, the district’s seat, is thought to have been named after Jaintapuri.
