India’s Himachal Pradesh includes the district of Bilaspur. Bilaspur is the town that serves as its capital. With a land area of 1,167 km2, the district is home to 381,956 people. After Lahul, Spiti, and Kinnaur, it is the third-least populated district in Himachal Pradesh (out of 12) as of 2011.

On the Sutlej River, the district is home to the well-known Govind Sagar Lake, which serves as a reservoir for the Bhakra and Nangal Dam project.
