In the Indian state of Karnataka, Nipani is the third-largest city and taluka located in the Belgaum district. It is a significant hub for education, commercial trade, and agriculture in the area. High-quality tobacco is grown in Nipani and the nearby villages, and the leaves are rolled into beedis.

Nipani’s City Municipal Council was established in 1987. In March 2018, the Nipani Taluk came into being.
