In the Indian state of Karnataka, there is an administrative district called Raichur District. It is situated in the northeastern region of the state, bordered to the north by the Yadgir district, to the northwest by the districts of Bijapur and Bagalkot, to the west by Koppal, to the south by Bellary, to the northwest by Jogulamba Gadwal in Telangana, and to the east by Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh.
