Ottapalam, which is also spelled Ottappalam, is a town, municipality, and taluk located in Kerala, India’s Palakkad District. It is the Ottapalam Taluk’s administrative center. Ottapalam is almost 34 kilometers (21 km) away from Palakkad, the district seat. Ottapalam is situated beside the Bharathapuzha, the state’s second-longest river.

It is one of the district’s principal commercial hubs. It is also one of Kerala’s most used filming sites.
