The district of Betul is located in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The administrative center is located in the city of Betul. The Narmadapuram Division includes the district.

It is located almost entirely on the Satpura range and spans practically the entire range’s width between the Berar plains to the south and the Narmada Valley to the north.
