Central India’s Madhya Pradesh state includes the district of Rewa. The district headquarters are in the city of Rewa. Rewa is commonly referred to as the “Land of White Tigers” since Martand Singh, the provincial Maharaja, found the first White Tiger in the Govindgarh jungle here in 1951. Vindhya Pradesh was a defunct state whose capital was Rewa.
