Eastern West Khasi Hills is a district in the Indian state of Meghalaya, about 25 kilometers (16 miles) west of the state capital, Shillong. It was established in 2021 following the partition of the existing West Khasi Hills district. According to the 2011 census, the district’s territories had a total population of 131,451. The district headquarters is in Mairang.
