One of the eleven districts of the Indian state of Mizoram is Serchhip District. The total area of the district is 1421.60 km^. The district’s administrative center is located in Serchhip town. This district was separated from the bigger Aizawl District on September 15, 1998, and became independent. Owing to its creation, it encompasses a portion of Thingsulthliah Tehsil and a portion of East Lungdar Tehsil.

It is the second least populated district in Mizoram (out of 8) after Saiha, and as of the 2011 census, it has the highest literacy rate in all of India.
