In the United States, Boss’s Day, also known as Bosses Day or Boss’s Day, is often celebrated on October 16th or thereabouts. The idea behind it is that it’s a day for workers to express gratitude to their managers for being fair and compassionate all year long. The idea has drawn criticism for being nothing more than a pointless Hallmark holiday and for unfairly pressuring staff members to submit to superiors who make more money than they do while in positions of authority.
