The Indian state of Rajasthan contains the district of Ajmer. It is a component of one of Rajasthan’s 10 administrative divisions, the Ajmer division. The district office is located in the city of Ajmer. The district is located in the middle of Rajasthan and is bordered to the north by the Didwana Kuchaman district, to the east by Tonk, to the south by Kekri and Beawar, and to the west by Nagaur. To the northeast are Jaipur Rural and Dudu. Its area is 8,481 km³ (3,275 sq mi), and its approximate population is 2,583,052
