The town of Galiyakot is located in Rajasthan, India’s Dungarpur District. It is located at 56 miles from Dungarpur City and 168 km from Udaipur, a city in Rajasthan. Around Vikram Samvat 1000, the Parmar dynasty ruled over it. Galiyakot was subjugated by Rao Dedu (Devpal) Raja of the Sisodiya dynasty in Vikram Samvat 1342. After settling in Dungarpur, the ancestors of Dungarpur ruled over Galiyakot for a considerable amount of time. It is a component of a Bohra Dawoodi pilgrimage destination. It is well-known for the Shitla Mata Mandir and the mausoleum of Babjee Moula Syedi Fakhruddin, among its many Hindu temples.
