In the Indian state of Sikkim, Jorethang is a significant town in the Namchi district. On the route to Pelling from Darjeeling, Siliguri, and Kalimpong, Jorethang is located on the bank of the Rangeet River, a tributary of the Teesta River. People from different districts in West Sikkim come to Jorethang as a main connecting route to the western half of the state to consume a variety of goods and services.
