The town of Rongli is located in the Pakyong district of the Sikkim state in India. Approximately 22 kilometers (14 miles) from Pakyong city, the district headquarters, and 69 kilometers (43 miles) by road south of Gangtok, the state capital, it is located on the banks of the Rangpo River. The Pakyong district’s Rongli Subdivision headquarters are located in Rongli. Positioned along the commercial route connecting Kalimpong and Tibet, Rongli is among the oldest markets in Sikkim.
