The Indian state of Uttarakhand has the district of Chamoli.[4] Its borders are as follows: to the north, the region of Tibet; to the east, the districts of Pithoragarh and Bageshwar in Uttarakhand; to the south, Almora; to the west, Rudraprayag; and to the northwest, Uttarkashi. The Chamoli district’s administrative center is located in Gopeshwar.
