In the Dehradun district of the Indian state of Uttarakhand, there is a hill station called Mussoorie along with a municipal board. It lies roughly 290 km (1IApproximately 35 kilometers (22 miles) separate it from Dehradun, the state capital, and 290 kilometers (180 miles) separate it from New Delhi, the federal capital. Situated in the lower regions of the Garhwal Himalayan range is the hill station. “Greater Mussoorie” is the term used to describe the townships of Barlow Ganj and Jharipan as well as the nearby town of Landour, which has a military cantonment.
The average elevation of Mussoorie is 2,005 meters (6,578 feet). The Doon Valley and Shivalik ranges lie to the south, and the Himalayan snow ranges are to the northeast. At a height of more than 2,275 meters (7,464 feet), the original Lal Tibba in Landour is the second-highest point. Mussoorie is popularly known as The Queen of the Hills
