One of Switzerland’s 26 cantons and a founding member of the Swiss Confederation is the canton of Uri. Central Switzerland is where it’s situated. The Reuss Valley, which lies between Lake Lucerne and the St. Gotthard Pass, is included in the canton’s borders.
